IEEE DataPort Grows Rapidly: More than 3M Users, 4K Datasets

IEEE DataPort

The IEEE DataPort research data platform has grown rapidly since its inception in 2016. The community closed out 2022 with more than 3 million users and 4 thousand datasets. Now’s a great time to join this active user community to access research data, store and share your own research, and collaborate with peers.

Visitors to the site can access open access datasets and upload standard datasets at no cost, and subscribers can access all datasets and host data competitions. IEEE Society members are entitled to a free IEEE DataPort individual subscription as part of their society membership.

EPICS in IEEE Call for Service Learning Project Proposals

Make a difference in your local community through engineering and create a team to design and develop an impactful solution using engineering and technology. EPICS in IEEE funds student teams up to 10K to use the engineering design process to create solutions that help their local community in the areas of Environment, Access and Abilities, Education and Outreach, and Human Services. Submit your service learning proposal by March 1st to be considered in the next round of funding. Celebrating Brilliant Minds and a Bright Future: IEEE EAB Awards

IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) Awards recognize and honor major contributions to engineering and technical education. Awards are given for meritorious activities in accreditation, continuing education, educational innovation, pre-university education, service to the IEEE EAB, employee professional development, informal education systems, and related achievements that advance the practice of engineering and engineering education.

There is also a fellowship and a scholarship awarded to rising stars studying engineering. First year graduate students (2023-2024) are eligible to apply.
