Upcoming Events

The IEEE Virtual Events Calendar provides an up-to-date listing of major upcoming events and those now available on demand.

In today’s environment, it is critical to be sensitive to the perceptions and sentiment of your IEEE brand. Your brand’s voice, message, tone, and photo usage needs to convey the appropriate sentiment. Engaging with your targeted audience should be carefully weighed against normal business practices, with a shift required during these unsteady times. View IEEE’s statement regarding COVID-19 and visit the Adapting Your Marketing Communications to the Environment Around You Toolkit for guidance.

The new 3-course program produced in cooperation with Nokia, 5G Networks, is now available on the IEEE Learning Network (ILN). These courses were designed to help technical professionals receive an in-depth view of performance requirements, future scenarios, and the roadmap to implementation. Get the course today by visiting iln.ieee.org.

Registration is now open for the 2020 TryEngineering Summer Institute

TryEngineering

TryEngineering Summer Institute gives teens the opportunity to explore a variety of engineering disciplines in a fun, hands-on way. The two-week program, for students in grades 8 - 12, is scheduled at The University of California, Riverside; Texas A&M University, in College Station; and Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, in Queens, N.Y. Plans are underway to add one more location in the New England area.

Early bird special: save $200 by registering before 31 December.

Do you want to donate to the program; helping provide scholarships, activity supplies, and more? Visit our donations page.

Do you want to introduce STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) into your classroom—or into your child's life? Join this free event presented by Graceann Griffin, STEM teacher and IEEE Pre-University Education Coordinating Committee member, on 12 December at 12pm ET. Her presentation
will be followed by a LIVE Q&A, so be sure to submit your questions!  https://bit.ly/2O70eWs

STEM

Have you visited the IEEE Learning Network (ILN)? Take advantage of the December discount and purchase courses on core and emerging technologies. ILN has more than 800 courses from across IEEE, all in one place.

 ILN
Until 3 January, purchase selected courses from ILN Partners at a 30% discount with the code ILNDEC. Please make sure you’re an active IEEE member and have all of the desired products in the cart before entering the promotion code.

By the time children, especially those in under-resourced areas, reach 8th grade, nearly 50% have lost interest in STEM. Make a difference by sponsoring a classroom.

eMentoring

TryEngineering Together pairs engineers with students to learn more about the possibilities of engineering and STEM careers. Organizations can pair their employees with 3rd-5th graders either locally or in an under-resourced area of the USA.

Company employees can volunteer for just 2-3 hours a month. With the ability to access the platform anywhere around the world, helping students is easy and convenient.  Learn about becoming a corporate sponsor by visiting: http://cricketmedia.com/meet-tryengineering-together?utm_source=tadconnectnov&utm_medium=decemail&utm_campaign=tet
