Did you know?
IEEE Into Focus Photo Contest is back - what a great way to engage members...
Send us photos of what you think represents your experience as a member. Whether you are building a robot, attending a conference, collaborating with your classmates, or engineering new technology – we want to know what IEEE means to you. Not only is there a chance you could see your photos in future IEEE communications, but you also have the chance to win a US$50 Amazon gift card.
Here is how it works:
An individual enters a photo of what they think represents their experience as a member. Examples may include building a robot, attending a conference, collaborating with classmates, or engineering new technology. The contest gives members the chance to show off some of the innovative projects they may be working on and they might even get to see their photos in future communications.
When they post their photos on social media, people can vote for their favorites. Each month, the one with the most number of votes will receive an US$50 Amazon gift card.
Use this link to share in all your communications: ieee-into-focus.org
For questions, reach out to Adrienne Hahn a.hahn@ieee.org.
Humanitarian Activities Committee Funding Opportunities
The IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee (HAC) and SIGHT (Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology) are prioritizing grassroots IEEE member project proposals that have a strong potential for immediate impact in the fight against COVID-19. The deadline for this Special Call for Proposals has been extended through 01 June 2020 in order to continue providing resources to volunteers making an impact during this pressing situation. Proposals may be submitted at any time and will be reviewed continuously via an expedited process to allow selected projects to get started right away.
