2018 MGA Award Recipients: William W. Middleton; Outstanding Sections and Friend of IEEE MGA Awards

The awards and recognition program of the Member and Geographic Activities Board (MGA) is designed to promote, recognize, and reward excellence in the MGA operations and IEEE geographic unit activities (Regions, geographic Councils and Areas, Sections, Chapters, Student Branches, and Student Branch Chapters).  

MGA is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 MGA Outstanding Large and Small Section Awards, William W. Middleton Distinguished Service Award and Friend of IEEE MGA Award. 

MGA William W. Middleton Distinguished Service Award was awarded to:

Marc T. Apter, (R2), Alexandria, VA, USA

For lifelong, selfless leadership in contributing to the attainment of MGA's strategic goals and for inspiring others to be engaged with IEEE.

Previous MGA William W. Middleton Distinguished Service Award recipients 

Outstanding Large Section Award was awarded to:

IEEE Bangladesh Section, (R10)

For their successful efforts in fulfilling IEEE's educational and scientific goals for the benefit of the public by maintaining, enhancing and supporting the Student Branches, Technical Chapters and Affinity Groups within their geographic boundaries.

Previous Outstanding Sections Award recipients 

Outstanding Small Section Award was awarded to:

IEEE Cyprus, (R8)

For their successful efforts in fulfilling IEEE's educational and scientific goals for the benefit of the public by maintaining, enhancing and supporting the Student Branches, Technical Chapters and Affinity Groups within their geographic boundaries.
