IEEE Admission and Advancement Committee (A&A)

The IEEE Admission and Advancement Committee implements IEEE policies, rules, and procedures related to admission, grade assignment, and grade advancement, and for reinstatement of membership in accordance with IEEE Bylaws I-100.

 

MGA Awards and Recognition Committee (ARC)

ThThe MGA Awards and Recognition Committee promotes, recognizes, and rewards excellence in the MGA operations and IEEE geographic unit activities (Regions, Geographic Councils and Areas, Sections, Chapters, Student Branches, and Student Branch Chapters).

MGA Finance Committee (FinCom)

The MGA Finance Committee serves as an oversight and advisory body. The committee establishes financial goals and procedures for MGA operations, develops and implements the MGA budget development process, and projects and monitors the financial performance of member and geographic activities.

MGA Geographic Unit Operations Support Committee (GUOS)

The MGA Geographic Unit Operations Support Committee is responsible for design, development, and implementation of the support model for the geographic units. The committee also recommends policy for effective operation of the geographic units.  The Chair of this committee is also the MGA Vice Chair, Geographic Unit Operations Support and is a member of the MGA Board.

MGA IEEE.tv Advisory Committee

The MGA IEEE.tv Advisory Committee provides on-going strategic planning as it relates to IEEE.tv and its related activities. The primary mission of the committee is to provide IEEE.tv staff with insight from industry and from membership/volunteer perspectives regarding various aspects of Internet television production, presentation, and marketing. The committee is a crucial source of insights about business issues and concerns, production development needs, and member service requirements.

MGA IT Coordination and Oversight Committee (ITCO)

The MGA IT Coordination and Oversight Committee is responsible for collecting IT requirements for MGA and coordinating/advocating their design, development, deployment, training, and usage. The Chair of this committee is also the MGA Vice Chair, Information Management and is a member of the MGA Board.

IEEE Life Members Committee (LMC)

The IEEE Life Members Committee (LMC) is responsible to the IEEE Foundation for stimulating and monitoring contributions to the Life Members Fund. Projects that receive Life members funds are to be consistent with the interests of IEEE Life members. The committee is responsible to the MGA Board for promoting the interests of Life members and other retired members.

MGA Member Benefits Portfolio Advisory Committee (MBPAC)

The MGA Member Benefits Portfolio Advisory Committee (MBPAC) provides advice and recommendations for the composition of IEEE's member benefits portfolio, excluding technical society benefits. MBPAC coordinates with organizational units to review and assess member benefits and recommend to the MGA Board the adoption or removal of such benefits, based upon a formal benefits development and assessment process. MBPAC acts as advisers to the Member Benefits and Services Assessment Team, a cross-functional team of IEEE professional staff, on the development and implementation of the member benefits development and life-cycle process.

MGA Member Engagement and Life Cycle Committee (MELCC)

The MGA Member Engagement and Life Cycle Committee (MELCC) is responsible for establishing programs that facilitate growth and development of members and IEEE.

The Committee Chair is also the MGA Vice Chair, Member Development and is a member of the MGA Board.

MGA Membership Recruitment and Recovery Committee (MRR)

The MGA Membership Recruitment and Recovery Committee creates, promotes, and monitors appropriate and effective membership development programs to increase IEEE membership.

MGA Nominations and Appointments Committee (N&A)

The MGA Nominations and Appointments Committee is responsible for managing the nominations and appointments process and identifying qualified candidates based on the common characteristics and skills defined for elected and appointed positions of the MGA Board and its committees.

MGA Operations Committee (OpCom)

The MGA Operations Committee oversees the financial and business management team supporting the efforts of the MGA

MGA Operations Manual Compliance Committee 

The principal mission of the Committee is as a member and volunteer-driven forum to provide advice and assistance in matters of non-compliance with the MGA Operations Manual.  

 

MGA Potentials Editorial Board

The MGA Potentials Editorial Board provides undergraduate and graduate students, who are members of IEEE, with an IEEE publication to address global issues, career-development topics, and other topics, emphasizing the value of continuing IEEE membership after graduation.

MGA Sections Congress Committee

The MGA Sections Congress Committee is responsible for organizing IEEE Sections Congress, the triennial gathering of Section leadership, sponsored by the MGA Board.

MGA Strategic Planning Committee (SPC)

The MGA Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for the development and continuous assessment of the strategic direction of MGA (members and the IEEE geographic units). Additionally, the committee is responsible for the development of the tactical objectives (12–24 month window) and monitoring the impact to the MGA direction.

MGA Student Activities Committee (SAC)

The MGA Student Activities Committee provides undergraduate and graduate students, who have an interest in the IEEE designated fields or related professions, with opportunities for educational, technical, and professional development, emphasizing the value of continuing IEEE membership.

MGA Training Committee

In February 2016, the MGA Board approved the dissolution of the IEEE Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) Committee and the creation of the MGA Training Committee. The MGA Training Committee develops and maintains the overarching training framework to support the MGA strategic roadmap. The committee ensures the appropriate content is identified to implement this strategy in support of both members and volunteers. The committee delivers training solutions in the following areas: essential, orientation, leadership, role specific, governance, and professional development. The committee oversees the IEEE Center for Leadership Excellence and Volunteer Leadership Training (VOLT) program, and works with IEEE Regions in support of their training objectives.

MGA vTools Committee

The MGA vTools Committee works with the MGA IT Coordination and Oversight Committee and MGA Geographic Unit Operations Support Committee to develop solutions to assist geographic unit volunteers, develop and deliver training modules for developed solutions, and migrate solutions to normal IEEE IT operations. The vTools toolbox simplifies geographic unit administration by offering web-based software, reduces time spent managing activities, and assists in member development.

IEEE Women in Engineering Committee (WIEC)

The scope of the IEEE Women in Engineering Committee (WIEC) is to Inspire, Engage, Encourage, and Empower IEEE women worldwide, and to serve the interests of the members of IEEE characterized as WIE.
