Activity highlights from this year's award recipients

The IEEE Italy Section has over 60 units among Chapters, Affinity Groups, Student Branches, Joint Chapters, etc. All Chapters and AGs have active Officers and exceed the minimum membership requirement. In 2022, the Section nominated the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Activity Coordinator, who interacts with the community. The Section organized 290+ events in 2022. Melecon 2022,organized with the R8, was the most remarkable event, with 250+ participants and a very robust technical program. Overall, the Section has successful multiple technical, professional, and educational programs.

The IEEE Tainan Section continues promoting academic and professional development for members by building stronger connections with chapters and members, encouraging participation in local and international conferences and section activities. Despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Section worked to revitalize the student activities that had been put on hold for over a year. In 2022, 70 technical activities were held, including the "IEEE DAY 2022 CELEBRATIONS: Tainan Section Student Membership Promotional Event".

The IEEE South Saskatchewan Section has all its units active and has organized at least two activities in the past year. Section members participated in community service events such as University of Regina's Engineering Project Day and the Regina Engineering Competition, both raising awareness of the IEEE brand to undergraduate engineering students and high school science students. The Section organized multiple events aimed to improve relations with both government and industry partners and provide a platform for them to influence the career choices of our student members.
